Who We Are
The idea that gave rise to the company was born in 2009 during the annual meeting of blasting engineers held in Denver, Colorado (USA). Later, in 2010, Blast Engineering S.A.C. was founded in Lima, Peru, as a technology-based engineering company.
Today, the company has a regional presence, providing products and services throughout Latin America and Central America.
Early Years and Specialization
During its early years, Blast Engineering S.A.C. operated as an Authorized and Certified Dealer for leading manufacturers of blasting instrumentation, seismic equipment, and specialized software.
Its solutions were focused on surface and underground mining, tunneling, quarries, civil works, and infrastructure projects, providing high-quality technological products.
Engineering Evolution (2015)
In 2015, the company expanded into rock blasting engineering, focusing on improving customers' profitability through the comprehensive optimization of their operations.
Significant improvements were achieved in reducing risks such as flyrock, airblast, and excessive vibrations, while also increasing operational efficiency in loading, hauling, and crushing processes.
All activities are carried out under strict standards of safety, ethics, environmental sustainability, and responsible community relations.
Growth and Expansion (2023)
In 2023, following successful projects in countries such as Chile and Nicaragua, Blast Engineering S.A.C. expanded its capabilities by incorporating new disciplines including geology and environmental engineering.
This led to the launch of its new value proposition: Blasting Engineering & Applied Geosciences, complemented by environmental and social services for civil works.
The company also became an authorized distributor of Famesa, strengthening its position as a trusted supplier of explosives backed by specialized technical support.

FOUNDERS
Blast Engineering S.A.C. was conceived in 2009 during the Annual Meeting of the International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE), held in Denver, Colorado, as part of its 35th Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique. The company was founded through the vision of professionals with extensive experience in mining, construction, and the explosives industry, who identified the need for a specialized company that combined deep technical expertise with modern technology.
The founders established a company built on quality, safety, and customer service—principles that remain at the core of the organization and have supported its sustained growth.

Senior Metallurgical Engineer with graduate studies and specialization in metallurgical engineering. Extensive experience in metallurgical processes, operational optimization, applied research, and the development of technical solutions for the mining and metallurgical industries.
LENARD HERRERA
Computer Science professional from UTEC – University of Engineering and Technology, specialized in Machine Learning, artificial intelligence model development, data analytics, and advanced programming.
HAROLD H. TORRES
Civil Engineer from the National University of Engineering (Peru), specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. Extensive experience in geotechnical studies, stability analysis, and engineering solutions for infrastructure and mining projects.
HUGO HERRERA
Mining Engineer specializing in blasting engineering and applied geosciences, with extensive experience in Peru and international mining and construction projects. Expert in explosives, rock blasting, and geotechnical engineering.
